How we would work together on your ideas and business

How do we decide what to work on?

We initially meet face-to-face. Firstly we discuss your role in the business and where you want that and the business to go. Then we summarise the situation, do a review if necessary and set priorities. We explore any assumptions that exist and focus on getting decisions and results, making best use of your time and knowledge. The sessions fit to your personally timescales and don't have a pre-set agenda

How will we make the best use of time?

Each meeting results in plans for future action. My aim with any work is to make the most of your own skills, so we will cover minor points and progress by telephone or email wherever possible. When there is a significant amount to do we schedule another meeting. Where there are things to research or decide on, I ensure that you have access the the information you need but you deal with it in your own time and call me when you are ready. We involve and develop the employees as appropriate.

What about the action plans?

I will call periodically to track the progress that we agreed. You are in charge of the actions, so if your time and budget vary, we change things to suit

How long am I committed to you?

There is no minimum period for us to work together. It's useful to allocate a specific budget each month or quarter and draw time against that. We simply carry over any unused time, and for this arrangement we make a month's commitment on both sides

What will it cost?

Call to discuss the best arrangements to suit your time, needs and budget. I base my charges on the time and nature of the work done, and growing businesses find a budget of about £200 - £300 a month provides all the input they have time to make use of

What are some typical arrangements?

  • specific projects like diversifying, revising business or marketing plans
  • ideas workshops that foster creative thought and practical ideas (these sessions solve, rather than list problems)
  • facilitation or coaching for individuals or groups - see this section for more
  • monthly or quarterly meetings to keep up to speed and provide regular challenge and input of new ideas

Overall, regularly involving someone outside the daily routine keeps your focus, brings a fresh point of view and keeps you in the driving seat.

Call to discuss how we can fit your time, needs and budget.
